Heard of word of the day?
This is word of the post.
Bloggers post, it’s what they do. They sometimes use new and interesting words unheard of. They should. Bloggers are inspired writers; writers use words, so bloggers should use new words.
I will post a new word EVERY WEDNESDAY.
Fete is my seventh word of the post.
According to Dictionary.com, fete (fetes – plural) is a day of celebration or holiday (noun).
I’m going to give it a whirl and try to use it in a meaningful way.
Since we have several sides of our family, our fetes seem to last a month long! Today, we celebrate my mother’s birthday. Since Mother’s Day is also in May, along with the birthdays of various friends and my mother-in-law… We will embrace another month of fetes as a family.
I love “fete” because who wouldn’t want to celebrate and enjoy wonderful festivities? This is a word I definitely hope to use more frequently in writings about life!
“Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:8, ESV)
